Why Pilates?

Pilates is for Everyone

Pilates unites the mind, body, and spirit in a way that eases tension and promotes health and well being. Regular practice improves your posture, flexibility and strength.  Pilates can also help improve balance by heightening awareness of your core and connection to your body.  Athletes use Pilates to retrain faulty movement patterns and to recover from injuries, since Pilates uses springs on the apparatuses to either aide in movement or add resistance.  It is a non-destructive form of exercise for strengthening the body.

Enhance Your Wellness

Pilates is a great way to improve your endurance for other physical activities. Whether your passion is tennis, running, or cycling, Pilates is great for cross-training.  Using the same muscles day in and day out can cause muscle imbalances, if you don't do some other form of exercise. Pilates focuses on learning proper breathing patterns and core stability.  This helps you with moving safer and moving more efficiently, in whatever activity you do.

Calm Your Mind, Connect with Your Body

Pilates not only improves your body, but also helps with mindfulness and meditation. Take a break from daily life in order to focus on yourself and get clarity. Learn to connect to your body and focus on correct breathing techniques during movement.  This enables you to activate the deepest abdominal muscles that stabilizes during forceful movements.
